Betty Jane Lewis Palfreyman, 89, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 26, 1928, in Washington, a daughter of Joseph and Anna Poilucci Lewis.

Mrs. Palfreyman was employed for 27 years by Tygart Valley and Brockway Glass Co. Plant No. 7.

She was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, Washington.

Mrs. Palfreyman loved cooking, baking, crocheting and spending time with family.

On June 7, 1947, in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Washington, she married Edward John Palfreyman Sr., who passed away in 1989.

Surviving are two sons, Edward (Diane) Palfreyman of Washington and Joseph Palfreyman of Washington; two granddaughters, Taura Lynn (Robert) Barr and Ashley Jo (Jeremy) Smith, both of Washington; a grandson, Edward John (Tammy) Palfreyman III of Washington; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jordan, Brianna, Benjamin, Jacob, Graceann, Baby Bobby and Harper; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is a sister, Elizabeth Verdinek.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 1290 Jefferson Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, September 1, in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Washington. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
