Blanche Yanusiewski Pashkevich, 104, of Canonsburg passed away Wednesday September 14, 2016 in McMurray Hills Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 19, 1912 in Canonsburg the daughter of Adam and Elizabeth Getrich Yanusiewski.
Mrs. Pashkevich attended Canonsburg Schools and Trinity High School.
She was a cafeteria worker at RCA Corporation.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Polish National Catholic Church in Canonsburg where she was active with the Society of the Most Blessed Sacrament and the Ladies Adoration Society.
Mrs. Pashkevich enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, crafts and crocheting. She donated many of her hand made afghans to local charities.
She was also a member of the Canonsburg Senior Citizens.
On April 6, 1935 in Wellsburg, WV she married Nicholas Pashkevich who passed away in 1983.
Surviving are two daughters Maraquita (Donald) Weaver of Canonsburg and Betty (Rocco) Manzo of Chartiers Township.
Also surviving are three grandchildren Rocco Manzo, Donald (Jennifer) Weaver and Jason Weaver and three great grandchildren Amelia Weaver, Ethan Weaver and Abigail Weaver and a few nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers Tony, Stanley and Charles Yanusiewski and a sister Mary Jurski.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 194 East College Street in Canonsburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday September 17, 2016 in Sacred Heart of Jesus Polish National Catholic Church in Canonsburg with Father Senior Rick Seiler, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart of Jesus PNCC in Canonsburg.
