Eliza D. Janoski, 81, of Washington died Saturday May 13, 2017 in her home.
She was born May 13, 1936 in Goodintent the daughter of Russell William and Dessie K. Curry Elliott.
Mrs. Janoski was protestant and many who her knew of her love for butterflies.
She was a member of the Canton Township Fire Department Women’s Auxillary. She bowled in the Alpine Lanes bowling leagues for many years, and enjoyed many arts and crafts. She owned and drove her own Honda motorcycle and enjoyed the feeling of freedom that it gave her.
Federal Paper Board and Brockway Glass employed her over the years.
Her husband Gusty C. Janoski preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters Betty Joanna “Doug” Shoup of Phoenix, AZ and Gussie Christina Janoski of Pompano Beach, FL and a son John C. Janoski of Washington, four sisters Dorothy Mae Penrod of Newberry, FL, Mildred “Ilene” Black of Shir, WV, Shirley Lou Ealy of Claysville, PA and Zelma Armstrong of Washington.
Also surviving are four grandchildren Matthew Shoup, Christina Hickson, Virginia Smith and Steven Christopher Janoski and many great grandchildren.
Decease in addition to her parents are a son Roger Melvin Janoski, a grandson Mark Shoup, two brothers Roger Melvin Elliott, Russell W. Elliot and a sister Mary Katherine Clark.
Friends will be received from 2-3 p.m. Thursday May 18, 2017 in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Ave. in Washington the time and place of a memorial service with reflections of her life shared by her family.
