Irene P. Smoke, 86, of Canonsburg passed away peacefully on Sunday June 26, 2016 in her home.
She was born January 31, 1930 in Lawrence, Pa the daughter of George and Julia Haget Dupesko.
Mrs. Smoke was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, baking and cooking for her family, gardening, word puzzles and taking care of her grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg.
On June 17, 1950 in St. Patrick Church in Canonsburg, she married her husband of 59 years, Patsy Smoke preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters Diana Lynn (John) Blicha of Canonsburg and Gina Marie (John) Vierheller of Upper St. Clair) and a son James Patrick (Esther) Smoke of Peters Township.
Surviving are four sisters Sophia Dupesko of Virginia Beach VA, Bertha Smith of Canonsburg, Cecelia Warmingham of Houston, and Becky Hodgson of FL and a brother Charles Dupesko Canonsburg. Also surviving are six grandchildren John Blicha, Dana Blicha Beck, Jordan Smoke, Morgan Smoke Glancy, Sydney Smoke McLaughlin and Giana Vierheller and eleven great grandchildren Johnny and Danny Beck, Addison, Jack and John Cooper, Parker and Miles Blicha, Jacob, Jordyn and Kennedy Glancy, Sadie and Nolan Smoke and many nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by a son Anthony Smoke, five sisters Rose Pyda, Julia Pribish, Mary Carothers, Margaret Ostrander, Betty Louise Dupesko, four brothers John Dupesko, Michael Dupesko, George Dupesko and Joe Dupesko.
Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Thursday in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 194 East College Street in Canonsburg where a blessing service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday July, 1, 2016. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Canonsburg. Inlieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association
