Jennie Gravel of Washington died October 10, 2017 in The Washington County Health Center.
She celebrated her 100th birthday on July 4, 2017.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Senkoski Yaros.
Mrs. Gravel was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church in Washington all of her life where she was active with the Christian Mothers and enjoyed volunteering at the fish fries and bingos and making her specialty banana cake.
She enjoyed traveling to polka festivals with her daughter and sisters and watching her great grand daughters until they started school.
She was employed at RCA as an assembler for thirty-one years retiring in 1981.
Deceased in addition to her parents and her husband Alphonse are sisters Mary Schriskey, Stella Smith and Helen Guidas.
Surviving is her daughter Janet Carey, Grandson Gregory (Kim) Carey, great grand-daughter Rhiannon Carey Michaels (Dave), Jennifer Dinardo (Dillan), great great grandsons Lucas and twins David and Liam Michaels. Also surviving is a niece Deborah Harter (John) and nephew Dennis Dollish (Kathe) and one great nephew and great niece.
Friends will be received from 1-7 p.m. Wednesday October 11, 2017 in Dale D. Deangelo Fuenral Home at 1290 Jefferson Ave. in Washington. Departing prayers will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday followed by a mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday October 12, 2017 in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church at 320 Henderson Ave. in Washington. Burial will follow in The Washington Cemetery.
