John W. Branczek, 82, of Washington passed away unexpectedly Friday September 15, 2017 in Donnell House in Washington.
He was born December 27, 1934 in Washington a son of the late Anthony and Mary Peta Branczek.
He was a graduate of Trinity High School Class of 1953.
After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy.
Mr. Branczek was employed by Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation in Washington as an Electric Furnace Operator.
He was a member of the Polish Club, Pulaski Club, Jessop Club and enjoyed fishing for Walleye.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
On September 9, 1961 in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church in Washington, he married Mary Grace Vito who survives.
Surviving is a daughter Amy (Tom) Martinko of Columbus, OH and two grandchildren Sophia and Lily Martinko.
Also surviving are several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters Katherine Wilson and Pauline Branczek and two brothers Carl and Ed Branczek..
Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Ave. in Washington where a Blessing Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday September 18, 2017. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
