Laura L. Spadaro, 96, of Canonsburg passed away Tuesday June 28, 2016 in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born June 14, 1920 the daughter of Sisto and Adelina DeMeo Chiaverini.

Mrs. Spadaro was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg where she was actively involved in the Christian Mothers of the Parish. She was a Eucharistic Minister of St. Patrick Parish and distributed communion to Catholic patients at Canonsburg Hospital.  She was also a member of the Ladies of Charity and founder and past president of TWIG #14 at Canonsburg Hospital.

She was the chairperson of the Italian Festivals at St. Patrick Church.

Her husband Frank J. Spadaro preceded her in death.

Surviving is a daughter Adelaide C. Wavra of Simi Valley, CA and a brother Edgar (Deloras) Cheverine of Canonsburg and five gradchildren Douglas Hager, Darren Hager, Derrick Hager and Adelaide Knupp and Andrea Vazquez, and ten great grandchildren.  Also surviving are many cousins, nieces and nephews.

All are invited to attend a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday July 5, 2016 in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church at 317 West Pike Street in Canonsburg.  The Christian Mothers will pray the rosary in the church at 9:30 a.m. immediately preceding the mass.  Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Canonsburg.  Memorial Donations may be made to St. Patrick Parish Choir.  Funeral Arrangements are in the care of DeAngelo Funeral Home.  A guestbook is available at www.deangelocare.com.
