Marcella E. (Parker) Paletta

Marcella E. Paletta, 86, of Washington, went home to her Lord Wednesday, July 20, 2016.

She was born November 2, 1929 in Washington, PA to the late Velma and Frank Parker.

Mrs. Paletta was a Roman Catholic at St. Hilary’s Church, she had a deep belief in her religion that was reflected all of her life. She had a warm, wonderful heart. Many times the family would hear her friends and acquaintances say, “I just love your Mom”.

Marcella worked for different glass factories in Washington when glass was king. She forged many friendships with her coworkers. She also worked at Viehmann's Pharmacy and the Dog House in Tylerdale,  while adding many to her friendship list.

She gave to many charities even when times were tough for her. She loved her Grandchildren, working puzzles and meeting people. She never learned to drive but always had a caring friend to gladly assist with taking her places. She had the biggest smile when she had the opportunity to polka. She was proud to be Polish and reflected it in a humble way.

In 1951, she married Joe Paletta, who is deceased.

Surviving are two sons, Joseph Paletta and Robert (Carol) Paletta of Washington, and her grandchildren Anthony, Alexandria, Anastasia, and Angelica.

Deceased is a brother, Alfred Piniecki.

Plans for a funeral service, Mass and a private gathering will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to “The Little Sisters of the Poor” 1028 Benton Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15212
