Janell Lynn Ostrander

Janell Lynn Ostrander, 47, of Washington, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, February 9, 2024. 

She was born April 15, 1976 in Washington, a daughter of the late Eugene Ostrander and Belinda “Boots” E. Riethmiller Ostrander.  She was a 1994 graduate of Washington High School where she was a member of the marching and steel drum bands.  She later attended West Virginia University where she was a member of the Pride of West Virginia-The Mountaineer Marching Band and a member of Kappa Kappa Psi, the honorary band service fraternity.  At the time of her passing, she was employed by 84 Lumber as a National Accounts Coordinator. 

She was an avid reader and enjoyed attending music festivals and comic-cons.  She also enjoyed cross-stitching and recently took up crocheting.

She is survived by her sisters, Melanie R. Ostrander and Ashley M. Ostrander, both of Washington and cousin, Bridgett E. Gerba of Washington; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

All arrangements are private and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
