Christine A. Wimert, 55, of Washington passed away following a lengthy illness on Wednesday October 11, 2017 at Man’s Choice Community in Bedford County.

She was born December 14, 1961 in Canonsburg the daughter of Jack Aubrey and Evelyn Joanne Hewitt Wimert.

Miss Wimert graduated from Canon McMillan High School in 1979.

She enjoyed doing home improvement projects, cooking and baking, going to yard sales, auctions and swap meets, doing charity work, but most of all spending time with family.  She was very outgoing and loved traveling and talking to people.

Miss Wimert was a Care Administrator and owner of Wimert Home #1 and Wimert Home #2.

She was affectionately known as “Queen Christine” by her many nieces and nephews.

Surviving is a brother Mitchell (Alice) Wimert of Washington, her nieces and nephews; Josh Wimert with whom she enjoyed a special friendship, Rachel Kimalat, Sarah Smith, Zachary Wimert  and Emily Wimert.

Also surviving is her sister in law Carol Wimert, her aunts and uncles Nick and Kathy White of Canonsburg and her three dogs Wyatt, Murphy, and Emma Jean. And several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her twin brother David W. Wimert.

All arrangements are private.  Interment will be held at a later date in Forest Lawn Gardens in Peters Township.
