Jodi L. “JoJo” Burnette McNinch, 52, of Washington passed away unexpectedly on Friday November 10, 2017 from complications of pneumonia and Cardiac arrest.

She was born August 20, 1965 in Washington the daughter of the late Clifford Allen Burnette and Jean P. Sharp Burnette of Prosperity.

She was a graduate of Trinity High School Class of ’83.

For many years she was employed as a bartender at the Station Bar in Washington and most recently as a cashier at the BP on Chestnut Street.

Jodi had a beautiful spirit and was always willing to help others. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and especially her grandchildren.

She was very sociable, loved her dogs and going to the beach.

 Surviving are her two children Ashley N. McNinch of Washington and Nathan N. (Tiffany) Clark of Washington, her boyfriend of eleven years Richard (Hobo) Cox and three grandchildren Haleigh, Tailynn and Denver.

Also surviving is a brother John (Donna) Burnette of Prosperity and two sisters Brenda (RJ) Steinstraw of Washington and Carla (Chad) Dittman of West Finley, a niece Destaney (Steven) Burnette who was like a daughter to her, an aunt Mary McCracken, an uncle John Sharp, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and cousins. 

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Alberta Burnette and her maternal grandparents Clara P. (Carl H.) Sharp.

Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Thursday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Ave. Washington.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday November 17, 2017 in DeAngelo Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating.
