Julia A. Bogochenko, 89, of Washington died Friday January 6, 2017 in Donnell House in Washington.
She was born June 10, 1927 in Scenery Hill the daughter of Alfonso and Rose Ulnosky Bogochenko.
Miss Bogochenko was a graduate of Ellsworth High School.
She was employed at the Presbyterian Home in Washington.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Charleroi all of her life where she volunteered for various church functions.
Miss Bogochenko was a member of the Democratic Women of Washington County.
Surviving are two sisters Nellie Tarbuck of Washington and Esther Cimino also of Washington and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by six sisters Vera Bogochenko, Louise Puskavich, Jennie Locy, Betty Greely, Kathryn Bogochenko and Helen Jochyneck and three brothers Alex Bogochenko and brothers Michael and William during infancy.
Friends will be received from 2- 8 p.m. Monday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Ave. in Washington where a Panachida service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Orthodox Church at 1000 Lookout Ave in Charleroi, PA 15022. Please make memorial donations to the church. Interment will follow in Scenery Hill Cemetery.
