Pauline Mary Costello, 83, passed away Saturday December 29, 2018 in her home with her loving family by her side.

She was born September 29, 1935 in Leechburg, PA the daughter of the late Nicholas and Pauline Elizabeth Holeczy Gorog.

Mrs. Costello was an Evangelical Christian.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking bread, brownies and various other baked goods and whose every family meal included a Jell-O or pudding desert.

Her love of music inspired her to play the piano.  She was an accomplished artist who enjoyed drawing.  Every year she would take the time to draw Christmas cards by hand to share her true Christmas spirit with her many friends and family who looked forward to receiving these cherished mementos.  Sewing and embroidering also gave her enjoyment.

She was the wife of the late Henry E. Costello, mother of Philip (Peggy) Costello and Paula (Levi) Olsen, sister and grandmother.

Her husband of fifty-seven years, Henry E. Costello preceded her in death on September 5, 2014.

Surviving are a son Philip (Peggy) Costello of Washington, PA and a daughter Paula (Levi) Olsen of Tulsa, OK, her grandchildren Eric, John, Ann Marie, and Paulina Costello, Christy (Kraig) Stahlman and Hank Olsen and three great grandchildren James, Elijah and Lucy Stahlman.

Also surviving are three brothers Robert (Shirley) Gorog of Freeport, Ralph (Annette) Gorog of Zelienople, and Paul (Melinda) Gorog of Dover and two sisters Maryann (John) Macomber of Mechanicsville and Ruth Calloway of Interlachen, FL.

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Arthur and Ernie Gorog, a sister Rose Owellen and two grandchildren Rachael and Andrew.

Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday January 2, 2018 in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Wednesday immediately following the visitation with Pastor Fred McCloskey of Calvary Baptist Church officiating.  Interment will be held in private at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.  A tribute wall is available at www.deangelocare.com.
