Thomas Marchwinski, 77, of Washington passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday May 14, 2019 in Washington Hospital.
He was born August 8, 1941 in Beaver Falls, the son of the late Joseph and Anna Marchwinski.
Mr. Marchwinski was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School Class of 1959.
Jessop Steel employed him as a Serviceman for forty years.
He was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church in Washington where he married Rose Reda on June 2, 1962.
Mr. Marchwinski was an Usher at St. Hilary for many years. He enjoyed all sports and was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan. He enjoyed traveling to various destinations with his wife.
Several years ago, he was a Mustang’s League Baseball Coach for Brockway #7 team and coached football and basketball for the St. Hilary teams.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two children; Bernadine Marchwinski Radachy of Washington and Thomas J. (Joyce) Marchwinski of Washington. He was the proud and loving grandfather of Shalaine Marchwinski of Butler. Also surviving is a sister Helen Sutton of Zelienople and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Stella, and Barbie and two brothers, Daniel, and Joseph.
Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Thursday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington. Departing prayers will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday May 17, 2019 followed by a mass of Christian Burial to celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday in St. Hilary Church in Washington. Interment will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
