Aurora Marie Hetzel

Aurora Marie “Monkey” Hetzel, 19, of Washington passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday May 26, 2026 in her home.

She was born July 28, 2006 a daughter of Patricia Hetzel Hatfield and Charlie Berry, Sr.

Aurora was a graduate of Trinity High School Class of 2024.

She loved riding horses, reading novels and listening to country music, especially Luke Bryan.

Surviving in addition to her mother and father is her step-father Mark Hatfield, sisters and brothers Amoret (Herby) Grantz, Felicia Hetzel, Charlie Berry, Jr. Matthew Berry, Shawn Berry, Shay Berry and Cassandra McClellan.

Also surviving are her maternal grandmother Patsy Renz aunts and uncles Harold, LeEtta, Faron, Lisa, her grandmother Carol and several cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her maternal step-grandfather John Renz  and Maternal Grandfather Harold Keith “Micky” Hetzel, Sr.

Friends will be received from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday May 31, 2026 in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington.  All other arrangements are private and will be held at the convenience of family.  The family suggests that contributions be made to the funeral home to help offset final expenses.  Please donate through the donation tab listed above.
