Barbara Ann Meriwether

Barbara Ann Meriwether, 80, of Burgettstown passed away unexpectedly on Thursday July 24, 2025 at home.

She was born January 14, 1945 in Carnegie a daughter of the late Michael and Dorothy Kraushaar Kamisol.

Barbara loved swimming in her pool, horseback riding, dancing, decorating her home, especially for Christmas.  She had passion as a hairstylist and always had a flair for fashion.  She was very patriotic, elegant, strong, independent, caring and loved spending time with her family.

On March 25, 1989 in Carnegie, she married Hal Meriwether who survives

Surviving are her children Michelle (Alma) Macchiaroli of Burgettstown, Kim O’Connor of Fort Mill, SC, John (Marge) Macchiaroli of Trabuco Canyon, CA, and Mike (Liz) Meriwether of Castle Shannon, PA.

Also surviving is a brother Bob (Peggy) Kamisol of Asheville, NC, Eight grandchildren Rachel (Zack) Hawley of Lexington, SC, Sean O’Connor of Pittsburgh, Michael (Bree) Macchiaroli of Trabuco Canyon, CA, TJ Macchiaroli of Trabuco, Canyon, CA, Sami Macchiaroli of Trabuco Canyon, CA, Connor Meriwether of Castle Shannon, PA, Paige Meriwether of Castle Shannon, PA, and Michaela Meriwether of Castle Shannon, PA, and one great grandchild Cade Hawley of Lexington, SC.

Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday July 30, 2025 in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 194 East College Street in Canonsburg.  Additional visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held at 12:45 p.m. in DeAngelo Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Parkhill officiating.  Interment will follow in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville.
