Carl JR “Reaper” Novak

Carl JR “Reaper” Novak went to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 19, 2016, following a brief illness, with his family by his side.

He was born August 6, 1980 in Washington a son of the late Carl “Sonny” Novak and Joyce Nichols Novak of Washington.

Carl attended Beth Center Schools, CCAC and California University of Pennsylvania where he was a member of Delta Chi fraternity and the National Honor Society.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He was very active in the motorcycle community and had been a member of Brothers of the Hammer, Guntown Motorcycle Club and a support member of the Pagans Motorcycle Club.

Carl was an avid musician, singer and songwriter and DJ at various locations. 

He was also an ordained minister, performing many weddings for family and friends.

Carl enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating.

He was a member of the Pulaski Club, Alpine Club and Polish Club.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his sisters Nicole (Merle) Sager of Washington and Cassie (Kevin) McIlwain of Pittsburgh, a nephew Mikey “Tug” Paul, Nieces Kylee (Bill) Craig, Kylee Sager, and Rahne McIlwain.  Also surviving is a great nephew Waylon and great nieces Alivia and Charlee.

Carl enjoyed playing the role of a big brother to his niece Kylee, nephew Tug and great nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his father is a brother Scott Novak.

Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Friday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Ave. in Washington where a funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday April 23, 2016.  Interment will follow in Lone Pine Cemetery.
