Carol A. Manfredi

Carol A. Manfredi, 74, of Washington passed away Monday August 26, 2024 in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Carol’s love of children guided her in her longtime career as a maternity nurse.  She loved being around family and her animals.

She was born June 8, 1950 in Washington a daughter of the late Salvatore “Sam” and Assunta Eleanor D’Amico Manfredi.

Carol was a life-long member of St. Hilary Church in Washington.

St. Clair Hospital employed her as a maternity nurse for thirty-two years.

She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.

Surviving are her brothers and sisters Patsy (Kris) Manfredi of Washington, Salvatore “Sam” (Cheryl) Manfredi, Jr. of Washington, Mary Louise Manfredi of Washington and Paul Manfredi of Greentree.

Also surviving are her nieces and nephews Gina (Mike) Zacios, Michael Manfredi, Jared (Stephanie) Manfredi, and Ethan (Lexi Tatano) Manfredi and her great nieces and nephews Anthony Manfredi, Aubrie Zacios, Luna Manfredi, Skylar Manfredi, and Giavanna Manfredi.

Carol’s family will be forever grateful for the compassionate care provided by the ninth floor neurology department at Allegheny General Hospital.

Friends will be received from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday September 2, 2024 in Dale D. DeAngelo funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday September 3, 2024 in St. Hilary Church in Washington.

Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Washington Area Humane Society at 1527 PA-136, Eighty-Four, PA 15330 or at washingtonpashelter.org or to St. James Parish at 119 West Chestnut Street Washington, PA 15301.
