Charles Skarupa, 94, of McMurray died Tuesday April 14, 2015 in Consulate Village following a lengthy illness.
He was born April 17, 1920 in Muse, PA the son of John and Mary Skarupa.
Mr. Skarupa was an avid hunter and enjoyed all sports.
For thirty-five years he was employed in the shipping department at Forbes Steel in Canonsburg. He had been previously employed as a coal miner in Muse and also worked at US Steel.
On November 27, 1947 in St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church in Canonsburg he married Helen Kirr who preceded him in death in 2008.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Six sisters and one brother are deceased.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday April 17, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Canonsburg with Rev. Joseph Oleynik as Celebrant. If attending, please meet at the church.
Interment will follow at Oak Spring Cemetery in Canonsburg.
