Christopher L. Gray

Christopher L. Gray, 52, of Washington passed away Monday October 6, 2025 in Transitions Healthcare surrounded by his loving family.

Chris was born April 16, 1973 in Washington a son of the late Roger Lee and Linda West Gray.

He was employed as a landscaper and worked most recently for Dan Weiss Landscaping.  Known to have a strong work ethic, he would sometime work six days a week.

Chris loved all sports and especially enjoyed Steelers Football and Penn State.

Spending time with his family brought him his greatest joy, especially the time spent with his granddaughter Kenzie “Peppa” .  He would never let his daughter or granddaughter out of his site.  He also spent a great deal of time at his grandmother’s house while growing up.

On May 21, 2011 he married Deborah Piatt Gray who survives.

Surviving is his daughter Stephanie (Tony) Gray of Washington.  Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Chris was preceded in death by his brother Roger Gray and his grandparents Elmer and Mabel Gray and Mary and Richard Bedillion.

Friends will be received from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday October 9, 2025 in Dale DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home immediately following the viewing at 7:00 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Gary Whipkey officiating.  All other arrangements are private.
