Cora M. (Mersino) Dunn

Cora M. Dunn, 90, a resident of Townview Health Center passed away Sunday April 10, 2022 following a lengthy illness.

She was born February 22, 1932 in Sterling Michigan, a daughter of William F. and Mary McGilvary Mersino.

Following high school, Cora was employed as an operator with Bell Telephone Company.

She was a lifetime member of Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church where she loved music and sang in the church choir.  

She enjoyed bowling, doing crossword and word puzzles, but most of all she liked to be kind to others.

Cora was a Pythian Sister.

On September 1, 1961 in Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, she married Charles Walter Dunn who preceded her in death on November 4, 2015.

Surviving is a daughter Carol D. Kaminsky and three grandchildren Chelsea Marie Tinker, Nicholas J. Kaminsky and Charles Marshall Dunn.

Mrs. Dunn was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Ann Dunn during childbirth, a son Charles William Dunn, brothers John and Ed Mersino and a sister Elsie Knight.

Friends will be received from 1-3 and 5-7 on Tuesday in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 194 East College Street in Canonsburg.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday April 20, 2022  in Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church at 112 West Pike Street in Canonsburg with Rev. Don Coleman Officiating.  If attending the service, please meet at the church.  Interment will follow in Woodruff Memorial Park in Canonsburg.
