Daurice Anthony “Reece” Whitlock, 39, of Washington passed away Monday April 27, 2026.
He was born March 27, 1987 in Washington a son of the late Shawna Whitlock and his dad Azarah Yisra-el and step mom Emellie.
Reece loved fishing, gaming, but most of all watching his daughter play softball and spending time with family.
He was employed as a cook at W&J College and Longhorn Steak House. He touched a lot of lives and loved interacting with the students at W&J.
On August 23, 2025 in Washington, he married Leandra Bova of Washington.
Surviving is addition to his wife is a daughter Rozlynn Whitlock of Washington, a sister Lashai Whitlock and her son Jaxon of Philadelphia and three brothers Cory Whitlock and his children Catalaya, and Cory, Jr.; Nicholas Whitlock and his children Shazier, Nicholas, Jr., and Scarlett; and Phillip Whitlock and his children Kyeonna (Marquis), Kyeshawn, Karon, Cayden, Phillip, Nadia, Xyair and Shila, brother Elkan Lemuel Yisrael, sisters Eleora Kyla Yisrael and Sarah McKenzie Adams all of Washington. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins and 3 great nieces and two great nephews. Also surviving are his four best friends that he considered brothers; Robert Epps, Jahmaul Hines, Darnell Mims and Sammy Marshall and his father in law and mother in law; Jesse and Tracy Bova.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister Nichole Whitlock, his grandma Antoinette Whitlock and Pap Noah Jackson and his mother in law Debbie Hutter.
At the request of family there will be no visitation. A memorial gathering is planned for a later date.
