David M. Cox, 43, of Washington passed away unexpectedly Wednesday July 29, 2026.
He was born November 29, 1982 in Washington a son of Joelle Mileto of Washington and George Cox of Houston.
He was a very talented wrestler and from a very young age excelled and eventually became a state qualifier.
He was very creative in writing songs and rapping. He was very artistic and loved to draw and was a dedicated Steelers Football fan. He enjoyed poetry and was also a published author.
David enjoyed being in the outdoors and it was well known that he would walk daily, sometimes for a few hours at a time.
He would go to Planet Fitness on a regular basis.
He was employed as a tow truck driver for more than ten years.
Surviving in addition to his father and mother are five sisters Mercedes (Sean) Boggio of Washington, Ciara Glendenning of Washington, Alexis (Mark) Cox of Claysville, Jocelyn Junkins of Washington and Sydnee White of Washington; his maternal grandmother Judy M. Mileto of Canonsburg. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews Grant, Grace and Cain Boggio, Emma and Luka Glendenning, Mila Junkins, Jameson and Jewel Clements, and Jordyn McCann. Also surviving are several aunts and uncles including Michael Mileto and Marci (Randy) Habeeb.
Deceased are his maternal grandfather David Mileto and Paternal Grandparents Harry Cox, Sr. and Paulette Ritter and a niece Elizabeth Boggio.
Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 4, 2026 in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 5, 2026. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
