Eddie L. Amon, Jr., 50, of Washington, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly of natural causes on Sunday July 14, 2024 in his home.
He was born on October 26, 1973, the oldest son of Vicky Liggett Amon and the late Eddie L. Amon of Washington.
A 1993 graduate of Washington High School, he was proud of his 25 years working for Pennsylvania Transformer in Canonsburg. He was also a well known tattoo artist at Gunslingers in Washington for some time as well as tattooing independently.
Eddie enjoyed fishing with his kids, riding his motorcycle, customizing cars, watching the Steelers and hosting a good cookout; but most important to him was being with his kids and supporting them in their sports and activities including coaching his son’s youth wrestling team.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his two sons, Jaxson and Alex Amon; and Klair Frye, who was like a daughter to him; twin brothers Bob Amon (Stephanie) and Chris Amon (Jessica Dean); his youngest brother Rodney Amon (Julie Baker); his former wife and mother of his children Jessica Frye Amon; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and family including his cousin Wray Amon who he was especially close with.
Deceased in addition to his father are his grandparents Mae and Sam Amon and Roxy and Alex Liggett.
Family and friends are welcome to visitation from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Saturday July 20, 2024 in the Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 1290 Jefferson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to his family for a trust to be established for his son’s future endeavors.
