Edward Henry Wiszczor

Edward Henry Wiszczor, 92, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 6, 2025 due to injuries sustained in a pedestrian accident.

He was born June 2, 1933 in Washington a son of John and Julia Wiszczor.

Edward was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War Era.

Ed was a member of the American Legion Post #175 in Washington and the Moose Lodge in Washington.

He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family.

On January 30, 1956 in Maryland, he married Marjorie Stage who preceded him in death in 1992.

Mr. Wiszczor was employed as a steel worker by Molycorp for thirty-five years.

Surviving are four children Patti (Joseph) Brownlee of Washington, David Wiszczor of West Union West Virginia, Donna (Richard) Maceiko of Canonsburg and Carol Romano of Pittsburgh; and a sister Dolores Capra of McDonald.

He was preceded in death by three sons; Ronald T. Wiszczor, Edward Henry Wiszczor, Jr. and James Joseph Wiszczor, brothers and sisters Loretta Shankovich, Elanor Bogdewiecz, Helen Toth, Genevieve Svitek, Charlie Wiszczor and Joseph Wiszczor.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington.  Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home during the visitation.  Burial in Washington Cemetery will be private with full military honors by the American Legion Post #175 and the United States Army.
