Eleanor L. (Kelly) Chambers

We regretfully announce the passing of Eleanor L. Chambers of Claysville, PA on Thursday October 13, 2022.  She was 68 years old.

Eleanor was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully.

Our mother, Eleanor was one of the kindest women to ever walk this earth, and our family was blessed to have her as head of the family.

Eleanor was born on August 15, 1954 to the late Bernard and Thelma Ruetschi Kelly in Washington, PA.

She married her husband James D. Chambers, Sr. on October 12, 1974. 

They had three children, James Jr., Cory, and Aaron.  She also rased her granddaughter Angela Marie Chambers whom she adored.  Eleanor was a wonderful and loving mother who loved her family.

We will never be able to fill the space she left behind. 

She enjoyed cooking, yard sales, and fruit picking, especially berry picking. She also loved to bake extravagant wedding cakes.  She was a Christian and a member of Trinity Fellowship in Washington. 

Surviving are two sons James David, Jr. (Jaime) of West Alexander, Aaron (Cassandra) of Claysville; three sisters Lorna (Bob) Brennen of McKeesport, Susan (John) Furcho of Washington, and Dolores (Walter) Roberts of Claysville, a sister-in-law Sara (Lou) Wutter of Aliquippa who also adored her.

Also surviving are grandchildren Tiffany, Sydney, and Jay; and a great grandson Judah. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Cory Christopher, two sisters Bernadine Sanney and Mary Lou Hartman.

Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday October 18, 2022 in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington followed immediately by a funeral service to be held in the funeral home with Pastor Michael Roach Officiating at 7:00.  Interment will be held at the convenience of the Family on Wednesday October 19, 2022 in Washington Cemetery.
