Flora Deep

Flora Deep, 79, a lifelong resident of Canonsburg died Tuesday April 5, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 21, 1936 the daughter of Mike and Sarah Moses Deep in her home Canonsburg where she would pass away seventy-nine years later.

Miss deep was a member of St. George Antiochion Orthodox Cathedral in Pittsburgh.

She loved cooking, reading books and traveling.  She traveled to destinations all over the world including Syria, Jerusalem, France, and England and all over the United States.

She was considered the matriarch of her family.

Surviving are three sisters Katherine (James) Drakeley of Washington, Michelle (Wally) Wilson of Cincinnati, OH, and Avigail Deep of Canonsburg and a brother Michael (Jean) Deep of Canonsburg and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great-great niece and great-great nephew.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by a brother Esper Deep and two sisters Diana Deep and Sarah Jane Deep.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 194 East College Street in Canonsburg where a Trasaigon service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday April 9, 2016 in DeAngelo Funeral Home with Father Joshua Makoul officiating.

Entombment will follow in St. Georges Cemetery in Bridgeville.
