Frank Gallo, Sr, 67 of Canonsburg, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015 in Canonsburg Hospital.
He was born March 26, 1948 at home in Avella, a son of the late John and Martha Campbell Gallo.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Gallo was employed by Mayview State Hospital.
He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War from 1967-1971, stationed in Alaska for two years.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan and enjoyed fishing and decorating for Christmas.
Mr. Gallo loved his canine companion, Pomeranian, Pooh Bear. He was a diehard Demoocrat.
On January 8, 1972, he married Dianna Kunkle, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Kimberly (George) Kunkle Petro of Latrobe, Amanda (Eric) Gallo Snyder-Zeman of Canonsburg, Richard and Robert Gallo, both at home, and Jennifer (Tomohiro) Gallo-Inaba of Strabane, his grandchildren, Chelsea and Jesse Wylie, and Cheyenne Snyder, his siblings, George (Kay) Gallo of Marianna, Vyonia Wilk of Washington, Robert Gallo of Auburn Hills, Michigan, Alma (Keith) Jackson of Amity, and Joyce (Rich) Babirad of Scenery Hill, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Frank Gallo, Jr. who died April 17, 1994, siblings, Evelyn Harps, Charles, Tommy, Terry, Alvin, Elsworth, and Chauncey Gallo.
Friends will be received from 12:00-6:30 pm on Friday June 26, 2015 the time of service in the Mario L. Angelo Funeral Home, 194 East College St., Canonsburg.
