Helen Ambrose

Helen Ambrose, 93, of Canonsburg passed away in Wednesday August 31, 2022 in her home.

She was born April 23, 1929 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late John and Alexandra Bonzak Dudzik.

Helen was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Polish National Catholic Church in Canonsburg.

She was employed by Mellon Bank in Canonsburg as a teller and then later as a loan advisor.  She was also employed at the Meadows Racetrack as a cashier and money counter.

She enjoyed making pierogis and cooking and spending time with family and her dogs. 

Surviving are two daughters Janice (David) McDonald of Canonsburg and Sharon (Larry) Avery of Washington, grandchildren Jessie (Debbie) Avery of AL, Aaron McDonald of Uniontown, Heather (Ryan) Chicone of CA, and Jared Ambrose of Canonsburg, and two great grandchildren Gwenavere McDonald and Bailey Avery.  Also surviving is a daughter in law Darlene Ambrose, and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents are her husband Anthony Ambrose, a son Dennis A. Ambrose and all of her sisters and brothers.

Interment will be held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Cecil Township.
