Jacqueline (Encandela) Gribbin

Jacqueline Encandela Gribbin, 92, of Canonsburg, passed peacefully, Thursday, April 7, 2016 in McMurray Hills Manor Care of McMurray.
She was born September 11, 1923 in Canonsburg, daughter of the late Charles and Lucy Livolsi Encandela.
Mrs. Gribbin was a lifelong resident of Canonsburg and parishioner of the Saint Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
She was employed at the Daily Notes newspaper and Canonsburg General Hospital, as a switchboard operator and then in the billing office from which she retired.
 She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, but most of all loved spending time with family.

On September 28, 1947, at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, she married the late John (Jack) W. Gribbin Sr.

Surviving are two sons Jack (Kathy) Gribbin Jr. of Houston and Dan (Bonnie) Gribbin of Bethel Park. 
Also, surviving are two grandchildren, Kacey (Bill) Marra and Erik (Sally) Gribbin, and five great-grandchildren.
Surviving, also, are three step-grandchildren, Lee (Sue) Dobiak, Dave (April) Dobiak, and Lisa (Ron) Dobiak, and five step-great-grandchildren.

Deceased in addition to her husband is a son Patrick Gribbin, a grand daughter Melissa Gribbin, four sisters Sara Encandela, Lena DeRosa, Mary Mazza, and Josephine Mersino and two brothers Gus Encandela and John Encandela. 

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 194 East College Street in Canonsburg.  Departing prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday April 11, 2016 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday April 11, 2016 in St. Patrick Roman Cathoilic Church in Canonsburg.  Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
