James S. “Jimbo Gibby” Hammond, Jr., 46, of Washington passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday March 10, 2026.
He was born May 7, 1979 in Washington a son of the late James S. Hammond, Sr. and Janice Gualteri Stickle of Washington.
Jimbo was an Iron worker employed by the Local 3 Iron Workers of Pittsburgh.
He enjoyed fishing and listening to music; especially going to concerts. He most enjoyed spending time with his great niece Wrenleigh Rose Piper and his great nephew Michael Anthony Randolph, Jr.
Surviving is his mother and step father Janice and Jim Stickle of Washington; a brother Michael Randolph, and a sister Brandy in Florida. Also surviving are his aunts and uncles, and several nieces and nephews, Aunt Fran and Uncle Mike Triplett, Aunt Nancy Robertson and a good friend Joe Woodburn.
Deceased are his maternal grandparents Sam and Vi Gualteri.
Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday March 21, 2026 in Dale D. DeAngelo Fuenral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Upper Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo Village.
The family suggests that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
