Janice R. Marth, 79, of Washington died Friday July 10, 2015 in Washington Hospital.
She was born October 12, 1935 in Washington the daughter of the late Bernard and Elvira Baker.
Mrs. Marth was Presbyterian. She was a graduate of Chartiers High School.
For twenty-five years, she was employed in receiving by Gee Bee Department Store in Washington.
Mrs. Marth loved to read and was an avid follower of political shows on television.
On May 29, 1954 she married David J. Marth, Sr. who died on November 29, 1995.
Surviving are two sons David J. Marth, Jr. of Washington and George (Jeanette) Marth also of Washington, three brothers Larry (Sandy) Baker of Carmichaels, George (Martha) Baker of Hyattsville, MD and James (Jet) Baker of Phoenix, AZ.
Also surviving are four grandchildren Michael (Jen) Marth, Christina Marth, Ethan Marth and Adam Marth, three great grandchildren Julian Marth, William Wyland and Kohl Marth and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Rosetta Marth, two brothers William Baker and Kenneth “Tuck” Baker and a sister Marilyn Dragan.
A memorial gathering will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday July 13, 2015 in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Ave. in Washington. A memorial service will be held in DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Monday July 13, 2015 with Rev. Andy Scott officiating.
