John L. Baer, II

John L. Baer, II, 71, of Washington passed away Sunday June 14, 2026 in his home.

He was born March 29, 1955 in Washington a son of the late John L. and Gladys Haught Baer.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Washington.

John enjoyed spending time on the computer.

He was employed as long haul truck driver and worked for SLM Transportation driving the mail.

On March 28, 2015 in Eldersville, PA he married Deborah Foster who resides in Washington.

Surviving are three children Justin Baer of Washington, Andrew Baer of Washington and Sara (Gordon) Lewis of Canal Fulton, OH.  Also surviving are his grandchildren Rylie Baer, Kolby Baer, Zach Baer, Kylie Baer, Chloe Baer, and Issac Lewis and his ex-wife Karen Anderson.

He was preceded in death by a son John Baer and a sister Judy Yater.

A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday June 25, 2026 in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington.  Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home at 6:00 Thursday immediatley following the memorial gathering.

?Interment will be held in Washington Cemetery at 10:00 a.m Friday June 26, 2026.
