John A. Ronto, 77, of North Strabane Township passed away unexpectedly on Monday August 19, 2024 in his home.
He was born October 17, 1946 in Yatesboro, PA in Armstrong County a son of the late John, Jr. and Mary Vinansky Ronto.
Mr. Ronto was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
He was employed as a Coal Mining Foreman by Bethlehem Mines for more than nineteen years.
He enjoyed hunting.
On October 4, 1969 he married Nancy Kolesar who resides in North Strabane Township.
Surviving are three children John D. (Linda) Ronto of Washington, Beth A. (Richard) Napoleon of Pittsburgh and Amy J. (Steven) Rogalsky of Canonsburg.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren Julianna (Christopher) Wheatley, Jenna Ronto, Anthony Napoleon, Steven Rogalsky, Andrew Napoleon, Ashley Rogalsky, and Jack Napoleon; and several Nieces and Nephews.
Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday August 21, 2024 in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 194 East College Street in Canonsburg. A Blessing Service will be held at 1:00 Wednesday immediately following the viewing with Deacon Tony Mobley officiating. Military honors will be held at the funeral home following the Blessing Service by the United States Army and the American Legion Post #175 Honor Guard. Interment will be at a later date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
