John Phillip Sioa

John Phillip Sioa, 79, of Eighty-Four passed away unexpectedly on Thursday August 3, 2023 in his home.

He was born March 18, 1944 in Carrick, PA a son of the late John Stanley and Marie Wentzel Sioa.

Mr. Sioa was Catholic.

He was a graduate of Peters Township High School.

Mr. Sioa was a veteran of the US Army having served stateside at Redstone Arsenal during the Vietnam War.

He was a self-employed home building contractor and sole proprietor of Sioa Construction.

Mr. Sioa was a member of the Washington County Farm Bureau and enjoyed raising cattle and raising dogs.

On May 28, 1966, he married Kristina Wilson Sioa who survives.

He was close with his niece and nephew Jessica (Bruce) Shaw and Mark (Morgan) Cooper.

He developed a very close friendship with his “adopted” son BB Thompson and family.

At the request of Mr. Sioa, all arrangements are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors by the United States Army and the American Legion Post #175 Honor Guard.
