John F. Tonsetic, 70, of Buffalo Township passed away on Monday December 13, 2021 in Washington Hospital.
He was born September 20, 1951 in Washington the son of the late John and Catherine Medovich Tonsetic.
John was a graduate of Trinity High School Class of 1971.
He enjoyed restoring classic cars and bought his first, a 1957 Chevrolet Bellaire, at the age of thirteen by saving up his lunch money. His favorite cars were his 1957 Chevrolet Bellaire, a 1938 Chevrolet Coupe and a 1972 Chevrolet Corvette; all of which he restored to show car condition, and won many awards and trophies at numerous auto shows. He and his wife Carol spent winters at their condominium in Naples, FL.
Drakenfeld/Ferro in Washington employed him until his retirement in 2001.
On June 1, 1974 in St. Hilary church, he married Carol Jones who survives. Surviving is a son David M. (Krystin) Tonsetic of North Strabane Township and his beautiful, precious granddaughter, whom he loved dearly, Monroe Tonsetic. Also surviving is an uncle John Medovich. He enjoyed spending time with his faithful companion, his dog Chloe.
At the request of the family, visitation and funeral services are private. Private Interment will be held in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in McMurry.
