Joseph William “Bill” Junkins, 83, of Washington passed away Monday April 10, 2023 in Premier of Washington Health Center.
He was born August 15, 1939 in Washington a son of the late Herman E. and Catherine Stenger Junkins.
Mr. Junkins was self-employed. He enjoyed collecting beer cans and loved to walk. He was known to walk from thirteen to twenty-six miles per day. He was a well-known roller skater during his youth and worked for many years at the Arena Skating Rink in Washington.
His long-time companion and fiance’ Joanne Westfall preceded him in death.
Surviving are his nieces and nephews Mary Lou Barton, Jack Rhoades, Cathy Kovach, George Chunderlik, Dusty Mayhew, Patricia Wilson, Becky Junkins and Tim Junkins.
Deceased is his sisters and brother Mary Chunderlik, Bud Junkins and Elizabeth Rhoades, and a niece Debbie Storf.
A private memorial service is being planned for a later date.
