Joseph M. Paletta, 73, of Washington, passed away on Thursday June 12, 2025.
He was born in Washington on March 4, 1952.
Joe was the owner of Preferred Security Systems, an Overnight Transportation dispatcher, and a frequent video contributor to Virtual Railfan. “Joey Potatoes” was a beloved friend to many, an avid photographer, gamer, railfan, and was a regular patron of Lou Reda's. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Raccoon Valley Sportmen’s Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marcella (Piniecki) Paletta, his brother, Robert (survived by wife Carol), and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by nephew Anthony Paletta, nieces Alexandria Pauli (Joseph), Anastasia Paletta (Cedric Weilland), and Angelica Paletta, and by several cousins. All are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 28, 2025 in St. Hilary Church, 320 Henderson Avenue in Washington.
