Lawrence L. Rush, Jr., 85, of Washington died Saturday January 16, 2016 in Evergreen Assisted Living in Washington.

He was born December 29, 1930 in Tyme, Greene County, the son of Lawrence L, Sr. and Mabel Ewing Rush.

Mr. Rush was Independent Baptist by faith.

He enjoyed hunting, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Weirton Steel employed him in their coke plant for thirty-five years.

On July 14, 1962 in Washington Missionary Alliance Church he married Dorothy M. Gamble who survives.

Surviving are two daughters Kathy (Cliff Wright) Addleman of Washington and Anne Gerner of Houston, TX and a son Lawry (Emily) McBride of Erie, three brothers Reed (Evelyn) Rush of Washington, PA and Gary (Marge) Rush of Tennessee and Duane (Sally) Rush of South Carolina and a sister Geraldine Baker of Minnesotta.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Deceased is a son Charles H. Rush and two sisters Eleanor Tompkins and Shirley Soly.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Ave. in Washington.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday January 19, 2016 in Grace Bible Church 4592 Jefferson Ave. West Middletown, PA with Rev. Duane Rush, Jeff Rush and Pastor Spence officiating.  Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens in McMurray.
