Lena Randolph Shrum, 102 died Friday May 22, 2015 in Donnell House in Washington.
She was born January 8, 1913 in Arden a daughter of Jacob and Valeria Houske Randolph.
Mrs. Shrum was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Washington.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and crocheting and many family members were kept in the warm embrace of her afghans. Her greatest joy came from her family, her grandchildren in recent years; she loved just watching her great-grandchildren play.
On May 27, 1939 in St. Hilary Church in Washington, she married Harold A. Shrum who preceded her in death on March 18, 2000.
Surviving is her daughter Barbara (Frank) Moyer of Washington with whom she made her home, and a son Harold J. (Sharon) Shrum of Toms River, NJ.
Also surviving are her dearly loved grandchildren Bret W. and Todd L. Fine, Mark L., Amy L., Deborah M., Maria C. and Jennifer R. Moyer, Holly L. Kerwin, and Heather L. Malloy, and eighteen great-grandchildren.
I addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Mae Fine. She was the last of her immediate family with thirteen brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May 26, 2015 in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Ave. in Washington. A blessing service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May 26, 2015 in the funeral home with Rev. William P. Feeney officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens in McMurray.
