Lois Jean Totterdale Mercer passed away peacefully Saturday March 15, 2025 in Evergreen Assisted Living Facility of Washington.
She was born July 19th, 1940 in Canonsburg a daughter of Charles and Eleanor Laskowski Totterdale.
Lois was a 1958 graduate of Canonsburg High School.
Lois held different offices including Worthy Matron in the Washington Chapter of Eastern Star.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband Jim all over the United States and on various cruises. She also read extensively, played cards, enjoyed crocheting, league bowling, shopping with her sister and playing the slots at the casino. She liked watching mostly sports on TV with her dog “Su Su”; they were inseparable.
On January 14th, 1961, she married her late husband James J. Mercer who passed away January 9 2009.
Surviving is her son Robert (Joanne) Mercer, her sister Charlene Fortunato, nephew Frank C. (Marcy) Fortunato, niece Lisa Fortunato (Peter) Hofrichter, great nephews Frank K. Fortunato, great nieces Jessica Fortunato, Angelina and Arabella Hofrichter.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing and services are private. Arrangements are in the care of DeAngelo Funeral Home.
