Louis E. Marriner, 88, of Washington passed away Sunday January 12, 2025 in Woodside Place in Washington.
He was born April 4, 1936 in Waynesburg the son of the late Paul and Olive Ewart Marriner.
Lou was a longtime member of St. Hilary Church in Washington where he was an active volunteer for various church functions.
He enjoyed playing golf and loved attending his nieces and nephews sporting events. He also enjoyed taking care of his lawn and gardening.
On June 6, 1959 in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, he married Joann Pomykala who preceded him in death on October 5, 2023.
Surviving is a brother-in-law John Pomykala, Sr. of Washington and two sisters-in-law Arlene Pomykala of Washington and Rosemary Pomykala of the State of California. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews Debra Collins and Tracy Turner both of Washington and Chuck Martin of Newport Richie, FL, Wayne and Chris Pomykala, John Pomykala, Jr., Kimberly Thompson, Tracie Kern, Brian Pomykala, Renee Susko and Bradley Pomykala. Also surviving are many great nieces and nephews and two great-great nephews.
Deceased in addition to his wife and parents are brothers-in-law George Pomykala, Jr. and Eugene Pomykala, a sister Eleanor Turner a sister-in-law Sue Pomykala and a nephew Joseph Turner.
