Matthew Fisher Obituary

Matthew Fisher, 89, of Washington passed away on Monday, July 12. 2021 in Bridgeville Rehabilitation and Care Center.

He was born October 28, 1931 a son of Walter J. Fisher and Barbara McCartney Duncan.

Matt enjoyed fishing and tinkering with lawn mowers.

He was a member of the Pulaski and Polish Clubs in Washington. 

Robinson Pipe Company employed him as a Sanitary System Technician.  

On July 3, 1954, he married Martha D. Fisher who preceded him in death on December 13, 2020.

Surviving are his children; Bonnie (Edgar) Myers of West Alexander, Barbara Mitchell of Washington, Cynthia (Richard) Nixon of McDonald, Frances Montgomery of West Finley, John (Missy) Fisher of Washington, Matthew D. Fisher of Washington, William Fisher of Clarkston, WA, and Walter Joseph Fisher of West Alexander; and a sister Donna Fay Allen of Washington.  Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Deceased are his siblings; Walter, Gene, Elizabeth, Harriet, Ann, Effie, and Josephine.

Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday in Dale D. DeAngelo funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington.  A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Steve Parkhill Officiating.  Interment will follow in North Buffalo Cemetery.
