Philomena “Penny” Adams, 95, of Umatilla, FL, and formerly of Washington passed away Saturday March 14, 2026 in Florida.
She was born August 2, 1930 in Washington a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Slettzer Phillips.
She enjoyed playing bingo with her sister, doing word search puzzles, and spending time with family. She especially enjoyed visits from her only grandchild Courtney Suhay.
Surviving is a daughter Paula (Tom) Suhay of Umatilla, FL . She loved her dog Chewie.
She is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family having been preceded in death by sisters Ann Also, Kaye Haurand, Julia Alsko, Helen Bury and Mary Worrel.
Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday March 23, 2026 in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington. A blessing service will follow the visitation on Monday in the funeral home. Interment will be held in Washington Cemetery.
The family suggests that donations be made to a hospice of your choice or the Washington Area Humane Society.
