Quinda Paris, 93, of Canonsburg died Sunday April 19, 2015 in Donnell House in Washington.

She was born August 31, 1921 in Canonsburg the daughter of Vincent and Gagonda “Jenny” Falcocchio.

Mrs. Paris was a member of Central Assembly of God Church in Houston.  She began her working career at Continental Can Company in Canonsburg, then moved to Detroit Michigan to work building airplanes for the war effort and was one of many women who fulfilled the role of “Rosie the Riveter”.

She was actively involved in coordinating East End Canonsburg community reunions, that many attended from all over the country.

She then worked at Mayview State Hospital as an aide for twenty-two years until her retirement in 1983.

Surviving is one son Ronald J. “Michelle” Paris of Houston, and one daughter Jeanine Knupp of Highland City, FL, four grandchildren Jon and Jennifer of Florida, Rose Paris (Shawn) Moore of Springdale, and Don (Pauline) Paris of Canonsburg.

Also surviving are six great grandchildren Corey Wood, Quinn Paris, Skyler Knupp, Jon Knupp, Kaylee Knupp and Katlinn Knupp and one great-great grand daughter Kinsley Knupp.

Mrs. Paris was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by five sisters Lucy D’Amico, Elizabeth Bernardi, Cecilia Cornell, Rita Horsemand and Angela Bucci and two brothers James and Attilio Falcocchio. 

At the request of the deceased all arrangements are private.
