Robert Harry (Jr.) Fleischauer

Robert Harry Fleischauer, Jr., 76, of Washington passed away on Friday June 24, 2022.

Born June 2, 1946 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Robert H. Sr. and Elizabeth V. Elliston Fleischauer.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Vietnam Conflict.

Mr. Fleischauer was catholic and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Washington.

He enjoyed fishing and boating and challenging his grandchildren to a foot race, but most of all loved his family.   

Bob was a self-employed carpet-layer, and owner of Bob Fleischauer Carpet.

Surviving is a daughter Lori (James) Ondos of Peters Township, and a son Robert M. (April) Fleischauer of Washington; six grandchildren Robert Fleischauer, Ashley (Joe) Phillips, Chad Fleischauer, Cody Ondos, Logan Ondos, and Braedon Ondos; a sister Lynn (Robert) Zak of Nashville, TN; and two great grand daughters Caroline and Juliette Phillips.  Also surviving are two nieces Sarah Zak and Amanda (Kevin) O’Connell; great nieces and great nephews, Alexis, Taylor, Aiden and Nolan; and three step-children Jake, Ricky and Leslie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife Diane Bredniak Fleischauer.

Friends will be received from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 28, 2022 in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 1290 Jefferson Avenue in Washington.  A blessing service willfollow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. in DeAngelo Funeral Home.  Interment will be held in private in Washington Cemetery at the convenience of the family with Military Honors by The United States Air Force and the American Legion Post #175 Honor Guard.
