I only met Roger a couple of years ago through the 87th IDLA. He was in the 312 Engineers as was my late father. I so enjoyed chatting with him at our annual reunions. You'll truly be missed, Boots!! God bless you!!

I was blessed with the opportunity to get to know Roger through the annual 87Th Infantry Division reunions. We are very saddened to learn that this brave soldier will not be joining us in September, He will most definitely be with us in spirit.

What a lovely man! "Boots" was encouraging to so many of us "kids" (65-85 years old) around him. Such a loyal and giving and listening friend. We love you "Boots," and I believe you know it!
Thank you for getting as much of your life written down as you did and thanks for sharing those pages with me.

Please keep me apprised of any memorial service which may be scheduled.

I was very shocked and surprised to read of "Boots" passing. He was an inspiration to me and I'm sure many others at Silver Sneakers. It was anhonor and privelege to have known and I'll think of him at every exercise class in the future..All the best to your family especially Beverly and Rex.

Bill
