Rosalie DiMuzio McCoy
The family of Rosalie McCoy is saddened to announce that Rosalie passed away on March 31, 2025 at Strabane Woods, Washington, with her loving family by her side.
Born December 6, 1932, Rosalie was the first daughter of Mario and Duilia (Maggi) DiMuzio of Canonsburg.
She graduated from Canonsburg High School in 1950. Rosalie worked many years as a case worker with Domestic Relations at Washington County Court House.
A life-long resident of Canonsburg, Rosalie devoted her life to her family, her children, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A meticulous home-maker, she was a fabulous cook, preparing large meals at numerous family gatherings.
She loved music, was a pianist, and a devoted choir member for 57 years at St. Patrick’s Church, Canonsburg.
As a member of St. Patrick’s Church, she served as president of the Women’s Guild, and devoted many hours to helping with fish fries and Spaghetti Dinners.
Rosalie married John “Buck” McCoy on June 18, 1955. They met at a dance, both excellent dancers, and enjoyed 43 years of marriage.
Rosalie is survived by her daughter, Maria Yatsko (Larry), Canonsburg, and her son Christopher, of Canonsburg (recently Wilmington, Delaware).
Granddaughter, Morgan Miles (Isaac), Canonsburg, Karsyn Yatsko (Christian Ray), Canonsburg, and Great Granddaughters, Graylyn, Emersyn, and Lainey Miles.
Her beloved sister, Natalie Tissot, McMurray, and many cousins, nephews, and nieces as well as grandchildren, Miranda, Jessie, and Shane, Washington.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband Buck are her son, Jon Mario McCoy, brother-in-law Paul Tissot, sisters Mary Lou DiTullio (Marshall), Thersea Calabro (Dominick), and grandson Ezra Hilderbrand.
Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 194 East College Street in Canonsburg. Departing prayers will be held in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Friday April 4, 2025 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Friday in St. Patrick Church with Father John Minde as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Canonsburg.
