Rowland J. Bennett, 70, of Washington passed away Sunday August 11, 2024 in UPMC Washington Hospital.
He was born March 25, 1954 in Washington a son of the late Rowland Earitt and Josephine Bacque Bennett.
Mr. Bennett was Baptist. Mr. Bennet served in the United States Army and the United States Navy and was a long-time member of the American Legion Post #175 and the Slovak Club both in Washington. He liked to shoot pool, play video games and enjoy his favorite beverage.
He was employed as a short order cook by Eat n park and Wendy’s restaurants.
Surviving is his wife Susan Burnett Bennett of Washington, a daughter Regina (George) Bennett of Washington, two step-daughters Christina (Cliff) Smith and Kayla (Leo) Gregg. Also surviving are his grandchildren Lindsay (Doug) Tennant, Chucky Bennett, Oceana Jimenz, and Hinnesie Jimenz; a great grandson Nelson Tennant, his aunt Alberta Bacque, and several nieces and nephews. Surviving are his brothers and sisters Mike (Sherry) Bennett, Ron (Judy) Larggent, Earitt (Mitzie) Bennett, Kenny (Carol) Bennett, Raymond (Kimberly) Hutter, and John (Jeanie) Hutter; Mary (Ron) Hutter, Terry (Glen) Hutter, Beth Ann Bennett.
Deceased is a brother Robert Bennett.
All arrangements are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
