Samuel Russell McMillan

Samuel Russell McMillan, 67, of Hickory passed away unexpectedly on Sunday September 28, 2025 at home.

He was born April 24, 1958 in Hickory a son of the late Samuel B. and Anna B. Marth McMillan.

Sam proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, honorably Discharged as Lance Corporal, and was a member of the Marine Corps League.

Sam enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a longtime member Indian Springs Rod and Gun Club where he enjoyed sporting clays.  He also enjoyed Steelers Football.

Sam was employed as a sheet metal worker and later as a Security Guard by Olympia Security Consultants.

On July 9, 1982 he married Brenda B. Bell who survives. 

Also surviving are two sons Samuel B. (Michelle) McMillan of Monongahela and Sean A. McMillan of Hickory. And a sister Georgia (Louis) Minger of Weirton, WV.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday October 25, 2025 at the Hickory Volunteer Fire Department Hall at 106 Main Street in Hickory.
